Do not take Maths for granted

I must say I am rather disappointed with the performance of 4E1.
Perhaps it's due to lack lack of practice, complacency or you really find do find the paper difficult.
Frankly, this paper is not beyond you.
In fact, the teachers make it to a point to adhere it closely to the GCE "O" level syllabus.
We have identified all the commonly tested question types from 2002 - 2006 for the 4017 Elementary Mathematics syllabus. We made sure that all the relevant and commonly tested skills are factored into the SA1 paper.
In addition to this, we have arranged for 2 mock exam before the midyear paper.
In fact I made sure that there the mock exam and the SA1 paper tested similar skills.
I discussed the questions in the mock exam in class and even gave out worked solutions to the mock exams.

Can you tell me if there is anything I have not done?

I have tried my best, have you tried yours?

Is this really your best?

You may have done well for EM in the past but this is not going to continue if you take this subject for granted.

Remember:
An A1 for EM is not an entittlement even with your infallible history.
EM is a subject that can give you a distinction if you invest your time.
Maths is a pre-requisite for all post secondary courses.

Practise Makes Perfect ....
